This page is for IB students who study French Ab Initio, French B SL or French B HL and want structured help outside school. Lessons are useful when a student needs support with a specific assessment, wants stronger speaking practice, or has gaps that are hard to fix in a large class.
The exact assessment requirements depend on the school, course level and examination session. Lessons can be aligned around the usual IB language skills: oral interaction, listening, reading comprehension, written production, grammar accuracy and the ability to discuss themes with enough range and precision.
A teacher first identifies the student's current level and the highest-risk areas. Some students need pronunciation and fluency work; others need more precise grammar, richer connectors, better text planning or practice answering questions under time pressure.
IB French tuition is usually arranged as weekly private lessons, with lesson length adapted to the student's level, timeline and attention span. Teachers are experienced French language teachers who combine structured language work with exam-style feedback.
Private tuition starts from S$80/hour for one student. Lessons can take place at French Toast Novena, online, or at a preferred location when available. Small private groups can be arranged when students share a compatible level and goal.
