Terms & Conditions

Kindly read these terms and conditions before making any payment for private tuition or group classes. If anything is unclear, please contact us and we will be happy to clarify it.

Registration & fees

All students must register online before signing up for French lessons. For private tuition and group classes, advance payment is required and registration is confirmed only after payment is received.

  • Places are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration and payment are recommended.
  • Any fee changes will be communicated before a new payment is made.
  • Discounts apply only to full advance payments unless French Toast confirms otherwise.
  • French Toast may change the assigned teacher for reasonable operational reasons, including teacher availability, timetable changes, illness or schedule conflict.

Cancellation policy for private tuition

Private tuition cancellations must be managed directly with French Toast and the assigned teacher. Private tuition is not transferable and fees paid are non-refundable unless French Toast is unable to provide a replacement teacher within a reasonable delay.

  • Private students may cancel one lesson for every six hours paid in advance.
  • If both teacher and student can find another suitable time within the same week, the lesson may be postponed and will not count as a cancellation, subject to teacher availability.
  • Known unavailable dates will not be charged or counted as cancelled if they are communicated at the time of payment.
  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance; otherwise the lesson will be charged as normal.
  • Cancellation credits do not accumulate when a new payment is made.
  • Private tuition fees must be used within six months.

Cancellation policy for group classes

Students who miss a group class may request a make-up option, but make-up lessons depend on availability and are not guaranteed.

  • A student may make up a missed class by attending a similar class on another day or time when such a class is available.
  • If no suitable group make-up class is available, students may request a private make-up lesson, subject to classroom and teacher availability and charged at S$50/hour.
  • A permanent class change during a session may be possible subject to available seats.
  • If the new class is more expensive, the student must pay the difference. Lower price differences are not reimbursed.

Cancellation by French Toast

French Toast may cancel or postpone a group class when there are not enough students, when a teacher becomes unavailable, or for other reasonable operational reasons. If French Toast cancels a group class, affected students may choose one of the available options.

  • Join another class of the same level on a different day or time slot, subject to availability.
  • Wait for the next batch of classes.
  • Receive a refund for the cancelled class or module.
  • For bundle courses, the bundle discount is applied to the second course only. For example, if two courses cost S$100 each and a 15% bundle discount gives S$30 off the second course, the second course is treated as S$70. If that second course is cancelled, the refund is S$70, not S$85.

Refund, withdrawal and deferment

All fees paid are non-refundable except where these terms expressly provide otherwise or where French Toast confirms a refund in writing.

  • For private tuition, if a teacher goes on leave or stops working for French Toast, a replacement teacher will be assigned. If French Toast cannot assign a replacement within a reasonable delay, a refund of the remaining balance may be given upon request.
  • For group classes, deferment after a session has started is subject to a S$30 admin fee.
  • Deferment carries a risk: the same level may not be offered later, or may only be offered on a different day or time. In such cases, no refund is given.

Online classes

French Toast Language Centre Pte. Ltd. offers classes at its centres and online.

  • For centre-based classes, French Toast may move a class online with one day’s notice if required by government order. In such an event, no refund applies.

Modes of payment

Available payment methods may depend on the course and registration flow. Please follow the payment instructions shown during registration or sent by our team.

  • Bank transfer: DBS Current Account “French Toast Language Centre Pte Ltd”, account number 015-90360-06.
  • PayNow: UEN 201310523D, “French Toast Language Centre Pte Ltd”.
  • Credit card or PayPal where available through the online registration flow.
  • Cash may be arranged with our team when applicable.

French Toast’s responsibility

French Toast does not take responsibility for loss of personal belongings within its premises, including loss resulting from theft, fire or injury.

  • French Toast cannot guarantee any specific test score, level or degree of improvement.
  • French Toast reserves the right to use photos taken during its courses or within its premises on promotional material such as website or flyers, unless otherwise agreed.

Students’ responsibility

Students are expected to behave respectfully and to follow classroom rules.

  • Students must arrive on time so lessons are not disturbed.
  • Students should always be respectful towards their teacher, classmates and French Toast staff.
  • Students may not record audio or video without prior approval from French Toast.
  • French Toast reserves the right to expel a student or terminate lessons with no refund in the event of disrespectful behaviour from a student or parent.
  • Students should be aware of these policies and contact French Toast if clarification is needed.

Data privacy

Your personal information will be used by French Toast Language Centre Pte. Ltd. or its affiliates only, and will be handled in accordance with Singapore data protection law and our privacy practices.

  • We use your information only for the purposes for which it was collected, including registration, course administration, communication and support.
  • We do not sell or disclose your personal details to third parties for commercial reasons.
  • You may ask us to correct inaccurate information or request deletion where legally permitted.
  • For authorised staff users, Google sign-in information is used only for authentication, account management, access permissions and security.
